Very warm or hot in places today with sunshine in the east and south. Cloud will persist in the west and north with isolated showers. Any showers will ease through the afternoon and evening. Highest temperatures of 25 to 30 degrees for Leinster and east Munster, but 20 to 25 degrees elsewhere, in light to moderate southerly or variable winds.

Tonight will be dry for many with clear spells. Cloudier conditions in parts of the west and southwest will bring patchy rain and drizzle. There will be some mist and fog too. Another mild and humid night with lowest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees in a light southerly or variable breeze.

Amárach

Tomorrow, Thursday, will be another very warm or hot day with sunny spells. Dry for many but showers will effect parts of Connacht and Ulster, some heavy with the chance of isolated thunderstorms. The showers will spread further eastwards in the evening. Highest temperatures of 20 to 29 degrees, coolest along western coasts, in a light to moderate southwest to west breeze.
